Message from the TPHHR Chief Executive Officer

Hello, and welcome to The Place of Hope, Healing, and Restoration (TPHHR) website!  I’m so glad you’ve taken some time to get to know our organization better.  I am Elder Ronald Williams, and I have the privilege of serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TPHHR.  My journey with TPHHR began in July 2020. TPHHR was seeking a senior-level executive that was able to move the organization from its start-up phase to program implementation and forward.

What drew me to TPHHR was it appeared that my background, education, and skill sets was an excellent match for the recruitment needs for the CEO position. But more importantly, my agape-driven passion to walk theocratically and therapeutically alongside troubled and homeless youth and young adults; particularly, those who are experiencing trauma, homelessness, or at-risk of becoming homeless and those who are adjudicated here in the Washington D.C., metropolitan area.

The past six months have been very exciting and challenging for me as I have worked with the founders and board of directors in developing the program design and strategic plan which focus on program and service implementation.  It has been such a rich and rewarding experience working to provide the framework for building decision-making practices that will ensure the organization is competitive. The team is very confident that these practices will support TPHHR’s values and impact goals. All programs and services were carefully designed to ensure that the participants would be equipped to overcome and combat many of the deeply rooted social ills that keep them from breaking free and becoming whole emotionally and financially.

I am humble, committed, grateful, and eager to grow, learn and lead TPHHR to build people and systems turning this inflection point into a launch pad.  I am confident that my education, professional experience, passion, and voice is in the right place, at the right time for this phase to work as the program and services move forward. The opportunity to lead this agency in the incredible work ahead laying the framework and amplifying its community impact which is an opportunity that is deeply profound to me. That’s what brings me to TPHHR.

I hope you’ll take some time to visit the various pages on our website to learn more about our programs and the upcoming opportunities. Please also consider getting involved as a volunteer.  Now, more than ever, TPHHR is needed in our community.
