SUPPORTIVE HOUSING

At The Place of Hope, Healing, and Restoration (TPHHR), we believe that the basic right of every young person is to have a safe place to call home where they are nurtured with positive activities and relationships that will support and help them to thrive physically, emotionally and spiritually. We also, recognize that young people are all different, have a range of challenges that life has presented, and as such, no “one size fits all”. In response to the challenge, TPHHR has plans to develop and offer long-term supportive housing for youth ranging from 18-24 years old. The goal is to create an environment of growth and development by using an individualized wrap-around service model with a strong focus centered around case management, life skills training, financial management, substance abuse education, trauma counseling, and pastoral counseling. Also, included will be a robust style workforce development and job skills training program.

Each facility will be congregate style allowing each program participant to have his/her private bedroom with shared restrooms. Residents will share common space to include the dining area, kitchen, and recreational room. TPHHR supportive housing program will allow individuals to maintain their stability, increase their confidence and develop coping skills needed to sustain or gain job skills training that will lead to economic empowerment. The outcome is that these skills and tools will support the resident with sustaining permanent housing long-term and becoming economically empowered. The primary goal of TPHHR’s supportive housing program is to provide an environment and level of services that will enable residents to attain and maintain stabilization while living productive, self-sufficient lives in the community.

The goal for the grand opening of the TPHHR Supportive Housing Project is slated for the fourth quarter of 2023. We will keep you updated via our website with highlights as we move closer to the date of the grand opening of the TPHHR Supportive Housing Project.
